My wife and I just found and bought the last (hopefully) house we will ever live in, with Tim Hoyman's help. (Full disclosure: Tim is an old friend - from back in college in the 1980s. But old friendships don't guarantee a great experience in real estate transactions.) Tim's most endearing quality in the process was his attentiveness to the kinds of things most people don't pay attention to. Mainly, besides details we'd miss as we looked at each house, it was the things my wife wasn't saying. Tim noticed her body language, and was able to appropriately communicate to me some of the things he sensed. He was right, and that helped me be more aware of her as we continued our search. Tim is an incredible professional, a true and fearless advocate for his clients. We felt protected, listened to, and positively represented to the seller's agent and our lender. He anticipated problems, communicated clearly and proactively, and is an encyclopedic resource for all things real estate. He'd answer any question quickly, and if he didn't know the answer, he'd research and get back right away. But once again, as much as Tim can talk about what he knows, what was most impressive was what he didn't say. He knew when to offer comment, and when to back away and let us make our decisions.
